What is flexible packaging?

Flexible packaging is any package that can easily alter its shape to fit virtually any product. Common examples are bag-in-box and pouch packaging. The combination of film, fitments, and filling equipment allows for the creation of a flexible packaging system. Having multiple barrier film options allows for the flexibility needed to meet diverse product specifications. Fitments are created with the purpose of permitting movement among all parts of the package. The equipment provides filling capabilities to fit the needs of pouch and bag-in-box packaging.
