What is Form-Seal-Fill (FSF)?

Form-Seal-Fill (FSF) is a piece of equipment used in an assembly system that both produces a bag from roll stock film and spout and tap assemblies, and fills it in the same operation. FSF is different from Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) because it seals the entire bag first, and then removes the tap, fills through the spout and reinserts the tap. FFS does not seal the entire bag first; it fills through an open edge of the bag, and then seals it closed.
