Scholle IPN, a leading global supplier of flexible packaging solutions, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jean-Paul Roosendaal as their new Chief Commercial Officer. Ross Bushnell, President & CEO of Scholle IPN, noted of Mr. Roosendaal’s appointment, “Jean-Paul’s tremendous experiences in commercial strategy development, key account leadership, and aseptic packaging technology will provide us with invaluable insight as we work to optimize our aseptic capabilities across our film, fitment and equipment portfolio globally.”
Mr. Roosendaal has over 15 years of experience leading global packaging businesses as diverse as Georg Menshen GmbH, DS Smith (including Rapak and Worldwide Dispensers), and IPN (prior to the merger with Scholle).Throughout his career, he has helped companies streamline and optimize their go-to-market strategies; aligned commercial and operational groups around common customer goals; and driven business development and commercial resources toward markets with high-growth potential.
As we begin this new chapter, we sat down with Jean-Paul to learn more about what he’s looking forward to.
Scholle IPN and the flexible packaging industry have always been a main thread in my career. A career in equipment, including aseptic filling and product processing lines, led to flexible packaging. I started my career at the startup IPN Europe in the early 2000s, followed by a management position at the stock-listed DS Smith LP&D with Rapak fillers and bag-in-box supplies. In my previous position as CCO at Georg Menshen, I had a focus on their global single-serve capsules and fitments for spouted pouches.
At Scholle IPN, I can take advantage of my experience, in film, fitments, and equipment, in combination with a profound knowledge of processing at the customers served by Scholle IPN globally. I am eager to focus on total packaging solutions with great innovations in sustainability and recyclable-ready products.
In my new role, I look forward to encouraging and enabling our product development teams and sales organization as we roll out innovative, recycle-ready solutions and integrate recycled materials in the flexible packaging industry. As we design and engineer new solutions with Bossar as part of the organization, these new developments can all be done in-house and supplied to the market as a total solution with an optimized total cost of ownership.
I am feeling much ‘at home’ in the agility and strategy of Scholle IPN, the product branding, the environmental, social, and governance initiatives, and the vertical integration to becoming the global total solution supplier.
